Here's the latest information regarding Hurricane Idalia. We are praying for all involed in it's path.
Idalia has become a hurricane and is forecast to make landfall as a major hurricane along the west coast of FL on Wednesday. The storm will move toward the northeast somewhere near the SC coast Wednesday night to near southeast NC during Thursday.
It is looking like the storm will hit on a new moon and king tide so flooding may be possible. Please encourage your neighbors to move their items on ground floor to another location if their property is subject to flooding. Also, please secure any items that may become airborne during gusty winds (including polycarts).
IMPORTANT: Unplug all golf carts and other battery powered scooter/vehicles. Disconnect the batteries also. Flooding is predicted to occur on Wednesday/Thursday and flooded vehicles become FIRE HAZARDS. Protect your home and neighbors by following this advice and encouraging others to do the same.
Impacts across northeast SC and southeast NC will be greatly determined by the eventual track of Idalia, and as of right now the primary impacts are expected to be from flooding rainfall and possibly a few tornadoes.
